Ashley and Cale are Jayhawks living in New York City. I first met the couple last year during one of their Kansas City wedding planning trips. For our initial consultation they brought along Ashley’s parents who shared a painful story about losing all but one of their wedding pictures when they trusted their wedding memories to a friend years ago. Their experience and loss made plain for them the importance of getting their daughter’s photography right with the one chance they have.
I knew it was going to be a terrific wedding when we first met. They chose to have the entire wedding at the Lenexa Conference Center. This location is not typically used for weddings, but leave it to a couple of architects like Cale and Ashley to know the true potential for a space like that.
It is an exquisite space, especially for a pair of new New Yorkers who wanted to make sure their wedding kept the rustic mood, tone and spirit of the Great Plains.
