Posts Tagged “Waldo”Meg and Eric held their reception at Crosstown Station at 1522 McGee St. in dowtown Kansas City. Couples and their photographers in Kansas City have many, many venues to choose from but I was very impressed with the space at Crosstown Station. It has a large bar with multiple service areas, beautiful brick with spacious main floor and an upstairs area for additional seating. The windows on the north side overlook the Kansas City skyline making for a space with wonderful possibilities. 
Meg and Eric’s ceremony featured some wonderful touches complete with good readings and a wonderful singer. It was simple affair which seems a reliable way to create a comfortable elegance. Comfortable elegance totally describes this couple so much! St. Elizabeth’s is a wonderful place with good light, accommodating staff with reasonable photographer restrictions.
Meg and Eric were married at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church near my home territory of Waldo. Within five minutes of shooting Meg and her bridesmaids getting ready in the basement of the church I knew her wedding was going to be terrific. Meg kept a gracious ease and confidence in her manner that was infectious for everyone. I have never met a groom who smiles as much as Eric did, it’s little wonder these two found one another. Weddings are wonderful events, but they also all have their stress points and glitches, but I never saw a crack in their relaxed optimism.
